What To Expect
Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for you. It will also help alleviate any unnecessary anxiety you may be feeling prior to your first appointment. Educate yourself on your symptoms by reviewing the content on this website. Also, take some time to review the "abour our practice" page on this website where you can familiarize yourself with our providers. We look forward to your first visit.
We hope we have made requesting an appointment a convenient process for you. You have two options depending on if you have been seen in our office previously. You may call our office at 610-374-4401 x5 at any time during our hours of operation from 8 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. to schedule an appointment. Or, if you have signed up for our portal, you can sign in and you will be asked to give a few days and times when you are more easily able to have an appointment. We will work to find a slot that meets your day and time scheduling preferences. If, for any reason, you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible so we can reschedule you to a convenient time.
Insurance and Billing
We understand that payments for medical services can often be challenging to understand. We will do our best to guide you through the process. If you have questions or are unsure, please ask - we are here to help you!
Our billing department will file claims directly with your insurance company for their portion of your care, and take care of getting any required precertification. Please take some time prior to any scheduled appointment to call your insurance company - it is important to find out what your responsibilities are as far as referrals, copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.

If you receive a bill and are unable to pay the balance due, please contact us to discuss payment arrangements.
Facilities & Services
Digestive Disease Associates (DDA) moved into its current location at 1011 Reed Avenue in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania at the end of December 2012. The building was chosen because of its convenient location in the heart of Berks County, and the facility was designed to accommodate the needs of our patients. DDA is in a one story building located in a new office park where there is easy access to our facility and plenty of parking.
In this office location, DDA physicians offer to our patients an ever expanding list of the traditional and more cutting edge gastroenterology services. In addition to office consultations, DDA offers ancillary services such as an infusion center, capsule endoscopy services, and hemorrhoid treatments. DDA operates its own College of American Pathologists (CAP) - accredited histology lab for the purpose of processing lab specimens from Berks Center for Digestive Health, the Ambulatory Endoscopy Surgery Center located right next door to DDA in the same building. CAP accreditation is difficult to achieve, unique in Berks County and another example of how DDA continues to grow and provide services that are oftentimes found only in a large metropolitan areas and medical centers.
